Duke Basketball Star Jared McCain Signs Sally Hansen NIL Deal

Freshman Duke basketball guard Jared McCain recently signed a deal with beauty brand Sally Hansen, known for its nail polish, because he likes to paint his nails blue and white for his games. The 20-year-old, who is already worth $1.2 million, has brushed off any criticism.

He told Complex, ‘I've always been big on just being yourself in any situation possible,’ adding, ‘The hate is funny because it's usually grown men most of the time and it's like you're a grown man just hating on a kid. It doesn't affect me at all. I kind of just laugh at it.’

I just love this! As a mother to a son who loves painting his nails but is growing to that age where he feels self conscious…I love showing him places and people who he can look up to who show representation to the young man he is growing up to be! We need more alpha males in the community getting in touch with their feminine side, or not even that, but breaking barriers and bringing something that was traditionally feminine and putting his own masculine brand over it. I think this is so cool and I love to see a young man confident in who he is enough to get that money while making sure that product is part of his brand fr!
