This game looks really cool! Definitely gives those retro game vibes. Even with the story. If you remember, those older games also had VERY underwhelming stories and resolutions. But its the solid gameplay that keeps us going back to them.

What are the buttons to press to throw the axe and the zoom to the axe?

This looks really good. I really like the colourful visuals and it looks like it plays really well as well. Collectathon aspects like the coins are a guilty pleasure for me too and difficulty options are always a plus in these games. It seems that while the story is weak, the gameplay is still great. I think I’ll put this on the wishlist for now. Thanks for the review.

It's one of my most anticipated titles, I remember sinking a few hours into the short demo when it was first released and it was amazing. I was so immersed in the platforming and puzzling sections that I couldn't look away. I find it unusual that the first boss took you so many tries though, tbh it wasn't that hard, perhaps you're a little bit hasty like I was some time ago. xD
But yeah it's not immediately obvious what you're supposed to do, I think I also figured it out by chance, lol. Great review.

A massive missed opportunity for the developers to call the game Jack and Axeter

For real though this game looks really fun we've hit the point in the year where I'm gonna go broke buying all these new games lol
