Giant $1 Origami Cube

Tutorial for how to fold cube from a dollar bill with George Washington centered on one face. This cube is very efficient in it's use of paper which is why it's called "Giant." The length of its edges is half of the width of the dollar. To put that in perspective, the traditional Waterbomb's edges are only one quarter the length of the width of the original square. So, volumewise, that means this model is 8 times bigger than a waterbomb folded from a square of equal width! ("Width" is the key word here :-)

Jeremy, I have big challenging request. could you please make an origami twisty puzzle 3x3x3 (Rubik's cube) using square paper? I realize how difficult this could be but this would be by far the coolest action module you have ever made (in my opinion) you would have to look int the shapes of the pieces to get this and there is basically 3 parts, the corner, the side, and the mechanism. good luck.

Thanks to your comment I just splurged about 10 hours of my time. I made the four parts so at least I know it's possible, but it's so complex that I could never diagram it or teach it on YouTube and it would take me a few days to fold the whole cube and it probably wouldn't even move that well unless I do it bunch more times, so at least for now, I give up. The bank! They might not have uncirculated dollars but they should at least have some crispy ones that they will exchange for you. I got mine on ebay... but it costs about 22 cents per dollar extra including shipping.

Make sure you have time and a lot of patience when doing origami. Practice a few times. After awhile it all gets easier.
