I'm so glad you had a positive placement experience! It's sad to hear you didn't pursue teaching but I'm glad you got into your dream career of medicine <3

You are amazing girl! 👏🏽 keep going. You will excel in whatever you do because of your positive attitude. You seem so likeable and jolly. I see an asset here.
Nurse here who is looking into doing teaching ( primary teacher ) appreciate your video 🥰

I’m starting my biology pgce this September! I have a degree in biomed, nhs experience and a year of preschool experience so I’ve been on a bit of a journey of self-discovery! I feel you with wanting to do medicine because back in school it was the plan but life has taken some turns and teaching seems to be the right next step! Glad I found your video! Thanks for the advice and best of luck with med! ❤️

So much respect for your determination and hard work. I think you'll really enjoy Medicine and your experience will definitely give you a lot of confidence when you start clinical attachments and are working with patients. More than happy to have a chat if you want to discuss anything about medical school/careers at that stage (medic here as well!).

Really enjoy watching your videos as well. I feel both motivated and more cheerful after I've watched one of your videos - looking forward to more of your uploads!

Good luck! I'm 60 and returning to teaching after a 10 year gap! I have a thick skin! I hope you flourish as a medic!

Great that you are pursing medicine! I’ve just done my architecture degree and pursing teaching in a 1yr pgce, I’m still not sure what to do afterwards so it’s great that you can sort of ‘go back’ to your profession!

I'm a science NQT who has just handed their notice in to go into HR management in September. I feel like training to be a teacher and completing my NQT year has really developed me as a person, but ultimately I hated the constant scrutiny, be glad you escaped lol :)

I’m considering going the other way around - I went to med school but dropped out. Now that I’ve had my kids and the youngest is starting school in September, I’m considering doing pgce now. Might have left applying too late for this September though

Hi lydia,
What is GCSE in PGCE ? Now when do we do that ?

In between - love how bright and positive you are !

I just went back to teaching. I get more respect, they can tell I'm a teacher doing cover supervisor I think. Some schools prefer a cover supervisor to a qualified teacher. I personally would not recommend a PGCE in hindsight, I'd go for full-time in school.

I previously once wanted to be a high school teacher, but have now changed my mind, since I think it's too stressful, and too much work to prepare for students, and lots to pay as well.
I Don't want to anymore.

I'm starting to believe maybe history teaching isn't what i really want to do. Which is concerning seen as I've had this planned out since I ended college (I'm now final year uni) i appreciate the video and how in depth you went with the ins and outs of pgc
Cheers
