ARCHICAD Tutorial #48: Using Worksheets in ARCHICAD for DWG export

Sometimes we need to save out DWGs from ARCHICAD. Using Worksheets as an intermediate step in order to clean up and simplify your views as well as preview what you are sending your consultants is a great way to make your entire team happier.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video. I am not an architect, not an Engineer, not even a simple technician, I am learning Archicad for my own purpose and pleasure. Currently, I needed to export DWG to import it in Solidworks afterwards and I spent the whole last week fighting and fighting and fighting again to get it working, without any bit of success. Feeling like a poor lonesome cowboy found a golden nugget, YOUR VIDEO. Well, very simply explained and it worked !!!.

Jared, I so appreciate all the work you do to help those of us that need some more teaching on what this program can do. You seriously help me out. Thank you so much. I didn't even know that there was a worksheet button. This is brilliant for those times that I need to send DWG's for the engineers, I've just been saving the worksheets as a DWG! It makes me feel stupid, only for the lack of instruction. Graphisoft only do the initial basic training in the state that I live in, in Australia.

That's brilliant! DWG file is always lighter than using Archicad original translator.

Hi Jared, great video. I have a problem when exporting views to dwg. The line types are all converted to simple lines or for some reason Autocad does not display them correctly and I was wondering if you have the same problem with this method of exporting, and how do you deal with it? Thanks!

But why when we can export a dwg without any additional "unarchicadly" action. For most of the drawings doesn't need it if you modell as in the great book.
