I like this hack. I save the juice from can tuna to give to my cat.

Try using a spoon to compact it on one side and drain it.

Or you can just use a stainless steel mesh strainer you drain the fluid and catch the tuna.

Dont ever buy one of these pieces of junk folks.More aggregation fighting with the lids than its worth.The lids seldom come off the cans as easily as shown.Waste if money.
