Here in CA when I took my test, I spent a week taking 5 practice tests the week before my test.
I would take each test until I got 90 percent or better.
The answers I got wrong i would write the question and answer.
I did this for 5 tests of 150 questions. 1 test a day for as long as it took to get the 90 percent or better.
Passed the test first time.
That's what worked for me

I’m in Chicago, too, and went to I Love Real Estate School, instructor Art B. I took an accelerated class for about 2 weeks and I passed on the 1st try. Art is amazing and he makes you want to engage and learn. Also, take Exam Smart and keep practice testing until he is almost at 100%. He must cram his mind with RE questions and take the test within 3-4 days of finishing class.

Thank you Max for posting such great and up to date content. I am located in Texas. I am currently taking classes to get my real estate license because I plan on being in wholesaling and Real Estate investing for the long term. I'm having a Dilemma though. With me brand new to the industry the only license I'd be eligible for is a sales agent license, because a brokerage license requires 4 years of experience. And with a sales license you have to be employed by a broker as an agent, and most brokers have rules against wholesaling. I also Don't intend on being an agent. I want to start as working independently as a wholesaler, but know the license is important to be in the industry. Any recommendations?

I'm in Florida, we don't have this rule. BUT, I have my license anyway to be able to pickup listing commissions from sellers who just want more than I can offer. The state likes to keep the test at a 50% pass rate. Caller Dayon, hit me up!

Illinois on some str8 bs with that whole having to have a realtors license to wholesell. If I was him in the meantime, I'd just try to JV deals with licensed realtors in the area in my pipeline while I'm marketing. I'd also try to tap into learning the virtual wholeselling technique so I could hit up other markets in other states that don't require you to have a realtors license. If not, I'd probably move altogether to another state being that Illinois is not wholesale-friendly to the everyday entrepreneur. Those politicians are a bunch of haters with that new law out there. I hope that shit doesn't spread out to other states because getting a license makes you a glorified employee all over again.

To this man specifically or Anyone in this situation Look up TRAVIS EVERETTE NC PRELICENSING on youtube. HE goes over NATIONAL and NC STATE portions. ALL 75 HOURS. I took my class exactly a year ago and binge watched him for 3 months prior, I just passed both portions yesteray.
