UDK Map Speed Build 'The Plant Atrium thing'

Throw over some likes for support and to let me know you want more speed builds :) Also, help me name this map.

So I decided to put a map together in Unreal (I think this one took me 2 hours in total. More a visual set than anything, but it is far from perfect, just wanted to meow around a bit. This time, I wanted to test out the foliage function to see how that worked for building this atrium thing. If you have a specific Idea for a map, let me know and I will try making it.

And this is why I've been waiting for these UDK tutorials ever since the milestones for the Creature House Fundraiser Stream thing. But for someone who is self taught in UDK (I can't remember if he said he was self taught in it, so don't take my word for it), this is amazing!

Just needs some pallet jacks.

Creating a map build for an entire game is now in perspective for me. Props to game designers everywhere, it must be painstakingly demanding to put months into developing a game platform. Wow, just wow.

I like :) Great work and clever use of assets to give the impression of a busy environment.

I tried learning UDK some time back, when I wanted a quick way to prototype my level. I did like the BSP concept, I didn't like the way UDK was implementing it. Builder brush is the most awkward thing I've ever seen in 3d modelling. Also, there were not many educational resources out there and I was already adequately knowledgeable with Unity so I gave up UDK altogether (although I am using a plugin that works on the concept of BSP)

Your map seems like it could be named greenhouse_diorama xD

Unreal does do that. If it did not, every shadow not directly affected by two lights would have a pitch black shadow. I did not use a fill light in this, the lightmass render takes care of that

This is pretty damn awesome man! I am using UDK in the course I'm studying in and I would love to be able to get the level you are at haha. Keep up the amazing work man!

Seriously wish I had this kind of skill in UDK :(
Have to make a basic derelict village in wilderness at night for uni and that seems over whelming for me lol! xD
Could I temporarily borrow your skills/brain for a while, sure to get a first on it then lol!
