I love cleaning and I love a good deal so when I stumbled across these "Magic Erasers" knock-offs at The Dollar Tree, I had to try them! I thought, since the original Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work so well, why not test them together and see if they are as good as the real thing? In this video you'll see me test the Dollar Tree magic eraser with the real Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Is the $1 version as good as it's more famous counterpart. Watch to find out!

I thought I would share with you something I have found to be very useful. Its called Goo Gone. You take equal parts baking soda and coconut oil and mix them together. You can keep it in a small container for later uses. Rub it onto sticker residue and it usually removes the residue with a touch of scrubbing with a dishcloth. Thank you for sharing the results of the magic eraser. I've wanted to know the same thing for a while now. :)

Melamine sponges (it's what these are made from) are amazing and you can sometimes find them super cheap on Ebay in bulk forms. Last time I looked you can get 100 for like $2 USD. Just know it's NOT going to be as great of quality and it WILL break apart much faster. Hence why it's sold in bulk so very cheaply so buyer beware😅

Jamie's Journey - This was quite informative. I think I'll keep the Dollar Store one for light cleaning, that way it will last longer, and Mr Clean for heavy duty.

Just bought a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser after watching one of your other videos. Love them - great tip and glad to know it was worth the money vs a knockoff! Love your videos!

Good to know...I love the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! Thanks for posting and saving me a dollar! Yes, I cut mine in half and even smaller pieces when the job isn't too large of a surface.

I like to add just a touch of water when I use those Magic Erasers/Magic Buddies. Are you moistening them with each use? I am guessing yes.

I believe Family Dollar has one also by the homeline brand. I love all of them. They get the coffee stains off of my favorite mugs. I love using them on blemishes and scuffs on the walls.

I tried both today ....they worked exactly the same...and now the dollar tree ones are a dollar for 3....Also I was using the mr clean with the wavy shape and ridges...so yea her review was 3 years ago I think the dollar tree ones have improved...the dollar tree ones now look just like the mr clean ones that she used

I’ve found that wd-40 gets sticker residue and magic marker /crayon off hard surfaces very well with no scrubbing at all ! I’ve never tried it on tubs.

Did you notice a difference with how much water you did or didn't wring out of the sponges after wetting them?

My complaint with Mr. Clean erasers(even the stronger ones) is that they start shredding after a couple of times; why is that?

Great video. You can use rubbing alcohol to remove an residue from stickers.

My dollar tree has ones that look exactly like mister clean. So it might last longer and since we have no small kids so no crayons I will keep using the dollar tree ones. You might want to look for the ones I find they are in a blue box

Good to know and thanks for sharing. You can use WD-40 to get sticker glue off also. I didn't know this until I was out of goo gone and my husband told me and it worked GREAT 👍 Would like to see some more comparison shopping videos. Thanks Jamie and have a great week. Hugs 🤗

Thank you for the information. But for the record sometimes you do a quick search and you just want a quick answer without all of the lead up up and chatter.
