I'm all for a crewed Mars mission, but how can that happen when the initial Lunar landing for Artemis might not happen until 2028 and Starship won't be crew rated for at least 10 years? I get its Elon, but don't you think that goal is a bit unrealistic? And not to mention the problems that will arise from spending 7 months in a Starship plus many more on Mars? Id say the first crewed Mars landing might happen in the 2050s from the current timeline with Artemis and Starship progress.

Until we figure out how to gather fuel from Mars, it's not gonna happen. 3/4 of our outgoing ships would have to carry the fuel to get the rest back. Its an exponentially growing problem.

What do they fill the ship back up with for fuel? we use Fossil fuels here on Earth. did they find oil on mars?

Why?:

- There is no plan to go to Mars
- Not even talking about funding
- The current technology isn't capable to safely get to Mars
- Going back to the moon will take years from now
- Many, many, many, many delays

I don't believe it can be done. While I do believe it's possible, I also think a LOT of troubles will arise, both on Earth and on Mars, delaying the deadline. I don't think it can be completed by 2050. Maybe by 2100?
