In honor of Constitution Day, this week’s livestreams explore the relationship between Jefferson and Madison, the shared ideas that created the Constitution, and the rights it meant to protect.

First up, join us on Tuesday, September 15, at 1:00 p.m. EDT for a live Q&A with Thomas Jefferson, interpreted by Bill Barker, and James Madison, interpreted by Colonial Williamsburg’s Bryan Austin.

Love this ♥️! What a delicious way to learn our American history! Bravo 👏 to "Live from Monticello"! I was blessed to have visited Monticello at age 17 with my parents and brothers, traveling all the way from North Jersey!

Madison being happy and wearing less black than Jefferson makes me uncomfortable but the height difference balances it out with humor

If I had a time machine, id go back to July 2-4, 1776. And just sit in the corner, no sound at all, and just watch. It'd be so fascinating. The heat of the day and the fresh air going thru the open windows, horseflies pestering them, arguments and disagreements flooding the floor. It could get heated at times. Hancock was chosen as President of the Convention for a lot of reasons, one of them being that he had a good voice and could keep the peace among his people. It'd be so cool to hear exactly how they talked, what they talked about exactly, and how it's shaped the world's history

Has the FBI apprehended and interrogated the man on the right yet for his involving in the events of January 6th 2021? He openly supported and advocated the "insurrection" that happened in the U.S. Capitol that day. Or is he being given a pass?

I always struggle with the "17 and 76" vs "1776". Is that based on their own writing, or just a point of style?
