A few things worth mentioning: since society collapsed in 2003, these two never got to see a world where gay marriage was legalized. "Paying attention to things is how we show love", Bill has obviously been planting those flowers all the way over where the shops Frank wanted to fix up are, just to show his love and attention for Frank on the odd visit to the shops. There are so many details in this episode that make your heart melt.

NGL, I almost ripped my tv off the wall and threw it through a window when I saw how it ended for them. I wanted to see more of them throughout the story.
