I do understand that this is a pilot program. Please ensure that famlies, administrators, staff, and law enforcement/security have exposure to the concepts of restrorative practices and that those overseeing student conduct within the schools have the proper education and training so as to reduce or prevent the number of occurances relating to the immediate escalation of technique(s) that may impede or disregard a students social, psychological, and or emotional wellbeing before all the facts are disclosed. Students and their parents are often overtaken, railroaded and left feeling helpless in matters that may involve alleged conduct issues within the educational system. I sincerely hope that the ongoing development of this program makes a more secure and safe space for our children to learn and grow uninhibited by the use of unwarrented excessive force and/ or consequences as it pertains to alleged behavioral code of conduct infractions of students.
