I had forgotten how much I love this song...been playing it at least a dozen times a day for a week and it still makes me happy.

At 1:58 Neil throws his right drum stick 20 feet in the air then catches it in time to continue his thunderous drumming...

...only Neil could pull it off !!!

This song gives me both,  an adrenaline rush and a nostalgic feeling. I have been listening to this song for almost four decades, but by the time it reaches the "I strip away the old debris, to find the shining car..." I am always overwhelmed by that unusual combination of feelings.

I was amazed with Rush since the first time I heard them growing up as a teen in the 80's. Then I realized this powerful sound was created by 3 of the greatest musicians in a single band; was totally blown away. This song was such a staple of my youth that when I bought a red Prelude; not quite a Barchetta but non the less, I opened it up to 120 mph with the moon roof open and this song blaring... it will always be with me. Great band and Neil's performance was always on point. Awesome!

I am generally considered as a good musician amongst my peers. I, like so many musicians I'm sure, owe a great debt to this band. I discovered them in my early teens at a time when I was ready to up my musical game. I'd never heard anything like it. The pure passion and persuit of excellence in it drew me in hard. I wanted to be able to play this music so much it hurt. I woodshedded relentlessly until I could, and when I emerged out of that trance about a year and a half later, not only could I play it but had become an exponentially better musician for it. Thank you RUSH you've given me endless joy, I owe you much.

Simply the greatest rock and roll combo of all time...when you consider each proficiency on their given instruments. Peart is a given on drums, but Lifeson and Lee? Perfection!!!

I got turned onto these guys when I was just starting Junior high school.  It's been a long journey with them musically. I am thrilled that in all the years, I have only missed them twice when coming through on tour. I grew up loving them, and my kids both love them, and now I am making sure that my grandkids will love them too.  They are timeless and loved even more after all these years!  Thanks for a lifetime of excellent music Geddy, Neil and Alex!!

Not a lot of people mention Geddy Lee when talking about the greatest bass players. He's definitely one of my favorites. Awesome!

Grew up in Scarborough (east side of Toronto), in grade 5 guys started bringing in Kiss Alive and All The Worlds a Stage for classroom listening ... remember riding around my "Subdivision" on my 10 speed singing The Spirit of Radio. Once Moving Pictures came out it was over for me. I'm 50 and Rush has been my favourite band since grade 6! Still listen to them all the time. Today's announcement from Alex that they will not be recording or touring hurts. But it's expected and they deserve to choose to retire at some point. My memory banks are full (but ... there is always more room). Even 2 days ago I was in a bad "funk", listened to Grace under Pressure and all was good again.

This takes me back to 1981. Army AIT at Ft. Gordon, Georgia riding around in my 67 Mustang with 2 of my best friends for life.Little did we know then that we would be friends for life, we were young and having a great time. My buds Allan Wiltsie from Castleton on Hudson, NY and Greg Smiddy from Granite City, Illinois. Today is Greg's birthday, number 56 and I am going to share this video on his FB page. We rocked on this that summer till we went our separate ways, only to get together again in Germany later on for more good times. It's been almost 13 years since the last time I saw Greg, but we are going to get together next weekend, have a few cold ones, listen to this album, Blizzard of Oz, and Foreigner 4 and reminisce about 1981...

I now feel older as my bands retire one by one. Thank you Neal, Alex and Geddy for making music. I will always have great memories of the first time I heard each one of them.
