Heresy act 2 week 2. The guardian learns through gameplay of a new enemy at work, trying to take creatures on the moon. They are similar in power to beings like Oryx, the Witness and even the Winnower. Savathun reveals the truth about the Hive’s creation to Oryx and he goes mad. And Eris Morn prepares a ritual with the Flesh of the worm Akka to trap Oryx in her Throne. Let’s discuss this week's story.

To be fair to Oryx though his sword logic isnt a lie. He follows the Winnower more directly than he followed the Witness. So while the Witness did lie and decieve him, Oryx still followed the Winnower and its logic. So while the Witness used the Hive they still have their true God so to speak

I like that even with Eris disagreeing with Sloan, she isn't putting her down. She isn't trying to Brute force her own logic on her. She listens and accepts that she has a difference of opinion. Even says in the end that her AND Sloan will be the ones to guide us. We stan the Hive Goddess of Vengeance 🗣

Oryx when he shouts reminds me a lot of Xivu Arath. Guess she’s always angry? Or is she just loud?

I think Oryx might have a Kylo Ren moment. Knowing the truth, discovering his power is beyond that which manipulated him but choosing a path that makes him more dangerous by the end.

I understand Sloan and Eris differing views on how to handle this. But I think we need to be ambitious, and have resolve. Either way, this may be another step at ending the Hive pantheon. Brining an end to the Worm Gods, Xivu, and Savathun.

Through this season, the Echo of Oryx seems to be struggling mentally with his failure.

He spent a millenia being the strongest most powerful entity in his universe and now he finds out he's dead.

He also doesn't have his worm and the Power it gives.

And he's terrified.

He knows he's weak and knows he is a shadow of his former self and has no throne world.

And the Trinity of the Hive Sisters is gone.

Savathun is of the Light and Xivu has been cut from her Throne World, so it is now mortal.

All he can do it wait for the end and not know where it's coming from. He has no power, so he no control.

And what is coming for him is the Hive God of Vengeance.

She's coming with a fury that will take him and bend his will and power to her own ends.

Eris always uses an artefact to channel Power, so she remains in control of the Power and doesn't control her.

We saw this with the Crown of Sorrows and with the Acolytes Staff.

And the Echo of Oryx will bend to her will and he will rage.

And as his rage grows so too will Eris Morns Power for she is Vengeance incarnate.

I wanna know more about the entity that defeated the Witness but had mercy on him. Then the Witness defeated it by surprising it.
