There is actually a really cool, homeless guy that hangs out near our local subway. He’s just a guy who’s down on his luck. No drugs nothing he’s clear as bell. It’s SoCal so it’s very expensive to live here and one run of bad luck and yeah you will be homeless. So every time I see him, I buy him a sandwich with chips and soda. Nicest guy.

I used to work at Subway and only ever gave away “free” things once. There was a lady who came in and got sandwiches and she looked really upset. I ended up asking what happened and she said her mom had just passed away. So I paid for her to get some cookies, and drinks, and I also gave her a hug before she left. It was heartbreaking. She almost had me crying when she cried on me.

I used to work for sbway and people would constantly ask for free things. And they would say the manager said they could come back for something free bc they had some issue the last time. I was the manager.

The AM's / GM's of the local fast-food restaurants on the street I used to work on all had a chat that would describe repeat customers who would do this or cause other more serious problems. This proved beneficial and led to some people getting banned and in even rarer extremes arrested for harassment.
