Logical fallacies EXPOSED! #3 The fallacy fallacy

Many people use logical fallacies in arguments. This is particularly common on social media. In this video, Dr Susan Oliver and Cindy the dog will be discussing the fallacy fallacy, otherwise known as argument from fallacy, which occurs when someone assumes that if an argument contains a logical fallacy, then its conclusion must be false. The only thing I can contribute to the (being Australian myself) is.. People used to be scared of aluminium pots, microwave ovens and mobile phone towers. They eventually change and hopefully have a pang and hope no one remembers the rants

This reminds me of something I often see in comment sections.

"Your spelling and grammar are terrible, so you're clearly not educated enough to debate this topic" (usually including spelling/grammar mistakes in their own comment)

Clearly, it's a nonsequitor, but is it also a kind of fallacy fallacy, or maybe a genetic fallacy (the person making the argument is uneducated, therefore it can be dismissed) or maybe even an ad hominem?

If they're saying "ivermectin is also used for humans, therefore it's effective" then it's the fallacy fallacy. But pointing out that it doesn't make sense isn't the fallacy fallacy, otherwise it'd just be an excuse to commit fallacies right?

I suffer often because I took Logic and also Argumentation in college. Also, I love science and read studies - mostly RCT's as opposed to retrospective.
I recall the 24/7 smearing of IVM because Trump mentioned it - not helpful. I felt the TMPRSS2 mechanism was hopeful but the clinical proponents were saying it didn't work after the Delta Variant hit anyway.

Ivermectin does help but the dose has to be so high that it is dangerous. It is not worth it. I wonder about paxlovid in an otherwise healthy cardiac patient. Stopping the cardiac drugs has risks too.

History will judge the true anti scientists like you very harshly. So yes, continue to push out these videos if you want, but that superior smugness that oozes out of your videos doesn't fool anyone.
