After hearing this review, there's no way I'm spend $200 on this shoe. So many alternatives that are $30-$40 cheaper. Thanks for the honest review!

This was immediately my favorite shoe of all time. I love soft, bouncy shoes, and this has both of those stats to the max!

This shoe is becoming my favorite running shoe, maybe of all time. It has the perfect combination of softness and energy return, not too much of either but a great amount of both. I’ve been running everyday in these. One thing that’s interesting about this shoe- it’s very quiet due to the outsole

Looks like a solid yellow, possibly a green for NB diehards with a brick foot. The price absolutely factors in to the green-yellow-red, and I do appreciate Meg and Robbe mentioning that here. To spend $200 for a shoe with such a vague identity seems nutty to me. There are plenty of shoes in the 160-165 range that are likely superior to this one (Robbe loved the Topo Specter 2), and probably even some in the 145 range are just as good for recovery runs (Clifton 9?). Anyway, keep it up y'all. (And please don't be afraid to give yellows!)

I've done 2 runs in the Balos and it is a great shoe. Like it much better than the 1080v13. Has the bounce of the invincible without the weight. I find it does firm up nicely once you pick up the pace.
Rebel is also good at that but not as comfortable at slower paces.

As a novice runner, New Balance's shoe lineup is confusing. They're my go-to because they make everything in wide, but I'm struggling to understand their lineup at this point. I have the 1080v13 and the Rebel v4 which I love, but they seem to have some serious overlap across their models. Seems like they could discontinue a couple of shoes and not much would be lost for consumers.

I've been running in the Balos for two weeks now. Great show, lots of bounce and and awesome rocker shape! Only issue that I have: I cannot run slow in this shoe :)

Creole... you need to come down for the Louisiana Marathon in January and experience the "Creole" spirit!

Took a few runs to compress that insole. It’s pillowy and sloppy. Once that happened, felt a nice soft acceptable level of stability. Excellent long run or recovery shoe….still love the rebel v4 for the quicker runs. Great one two punch…

This is quite a unique NB shoe. It feels like a 70% Fresh Foam X + 30% Fuel Cell midsole mix. I like it. Just wish they had Extra Wide 4E size.

It’s their 10th anniversary shoe, so more of a celebratory creation than a shoe that fits into the lineup. Looking like it won’t have another model under the balos name, but might come back as the next 1080.

I love these shoes. Light and comfortable with a bounce.

Easy recovery soft shoes are now more expensive than non plated speed shoes and some of the best daily trainers. That’s why I bought two pairs of Triumph 20’s on sale before they are gone.

love these shoes! These, the Rebel line, and Pacer line are my favorites in the New Balance lineup. Seems like this channel really likes high stack, plated shoes which isn't really my preference. I want a little ground feel, control, and stability in my shoes. I don't like the price of these shoes, but I'll be keeping them in my rotation.

The rebel 4 is lighter, same(-ish?) midsole, sufficiently capable for longruns, and 60, - cheaper 😅

Two-Hundred dollars for the Balos Beach is too much and would rather go with a super shoe for that price range. I just bought the 1080v13 last month and that shoe is definitely fun to run in and with a better price point.

I’ve been to that beach! Really cool 1 mile hike to and from the beach.

Hi. At 🇪🇸 Spain=€220= No for me. I prefer the NB fuelcell Rebel v4. Like to Meaghan and Robbe. Have a good day.

It's interesting that here in Brazil it's considerably cheaper than the 1080 (25% cheaper).
