Good concice review👍. Think Dacia are onto a winner here. For those who do mostly short urban journeys, can charge at home and looking for a new car which is environmentally friendly that seats up to 4 with luggage, is there really anything else? A good school run, shopping, commuting car. Small and lightweight is the way to go if we truly want to limit the harm to the environment.😊

In South Africa the petrol version of the Kwid costs only £9000. Don't understand why the EV is more than double the price

At last, some clear thinking when it comes to an evidence-based approach to EVs. Electrification of transport being a way of mitigating the effects of climate change by transitioning away from fossil fuels. This car is small, light and highly efficient. No frills basic affordable transport for the ordinary person. It and cars with a similar design philosophy might actually make a difference. Well done Dacia/Renault and thank you Alex for yet another excellent review.

Seeing that this is a $5, 000 Chinese car that is rebadged.... I can't get too excited about the price. I would rather have a VW e-Up as the build quality is far better.

Why does everything has to look SUV'ish these days?

I really don't get it... aside from the Urus, all of them look way worse than comparable Wagons.
Wagons are the best allround car design ever. Period.
They do all the stuff associated with SUVs except they actually deliver. Just imagine the Urus was designed on a Panamera basis... they could've actually made it look like a 4-seater real Lamborghini 🥲 both a coupé and a Sports Turismo version

If this comes out at 20K it will be like some printers where it is cheaper to buy a whole new printer than buy a replacement ink cartridge, a replacement battery for this car will be worth what the car was new.

Very important that the horsepower is quite low to eat away at insurance cost. Over 100 miles in winter will be enough in 9/10 scenarios, like commuting two 40 mile round trips between charging with spare miles for a trip to the shops.
This may be a future classic once a 9 year old used one is £6, 000 and the tuners get to the drive train lol

If you ask me, they could take the screen off and make it even cheaper - nobody's ever gonna use the car's own infotainment, just put Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and directly use the phone as the screen.
