I've literally never seen a bowline tied that way.

Superb video. Nice and slow so us old people can understand. Thank you!

Finally! Someone else who does it like this. Been using that hand motion for slipnots on trucker hitches for years.

I finally clued in one day that the foundation of the bowline is basically a slipknot and it works so good

Yosemite finish is much cleaner and a truer “safety” of the knot then just an overhand. Also allows for tying with a front facing bight. 🤙🏻 super smooth technique though!

To tie the eskimo bowline I bring the line clockwise around the object that I'm tying to, then I use the overhand flip method to tie it.

relax people I think he meant to say 6 seconds not 60 Seconds

Being an arborist this was sooo fucking odd. I thought it looked like he was gonna do a Yosemite tie off which makes the tail go back toward the line and is super secure.

Also if he's gonna do it there a much faster way to do a bowline. He said 60 seconds to the the knot.

Well there are a few ways to do a bowline but def the first time I've ever seen tied or finished off this way.

I recently figured out to tie a bowline this way after watched a video showing the two fingers method. I have been wondering why no one does the knot this way... I need to spend more time on the internet...
