Easy Ricotta Donuts with Blackcurrants and Whipped Yogurt

Try out these delicious donuts at home! These are easy to make and the blackcurrant sugar coating just lifts it to the next level! I can't stop eating these donuts! Turn captions on for instructions.

Ricotta donuts recipe
- 400g ricotta (grainier is better)
- 100g sugar
- 80g butter at room temperature
- 2 eggs
- 180g all purpose flour
- 5g baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- a pinch of salt

Mix ricotta with eggs and sugar. Add sifted flour mixed with salt, baking powder and baking soda and soft butter. Dust the surface with flour and form uniform and smooth donut balls. Fry in 160C oil stirring occasionally. Drain on kitchen paper. Drop it in blackcurrant sugar before serving and dust with extra icing sugar.

Blackcurrant sugar recipe
- 50g freeze dried blackcurrants
- 200g sugar
- a pinch of citric acid

Pulse it for a few times in a food processor.

Whipped yogurt recipe
- 1kg plain yogurt (400g after draining)
- 120g heavy cream
- 80g powdered sugar

Drain the yogurt overnight over a muslin cloth. Whip the drained yogurt with heavy cream and icing sugar.
