This song is about a girl who gets pregnant young and her family disowns her. I just learned that recently and it rocked my world. Adds a whole new meaning and tone to the song and it's great

This version sounds sooo modern, and I'm loving it. Also, am I the only one who really likes the way John has adjusted his tone of voice, and singing style to sound more modern?
I believe it's intentional on his part. The funny thing is, that he sounds more boyiah now, in his fifties than he did way back.
This guy is ever evolving, and it's so cool to see. Just listen to BOXES.
