Korea's is one of five Asian nations where income gap is increasing rapidly.
i A recent Asian Development Bank report on income inequality in 28 Asian nations shows income gap widened at the fifth fastest pace in Korea between 1990 and 2010.
Income inequality worsened most in China, followed by Indonesia, Laos and Sri Lanka during the period, Bank of Korea said on Monday, citing the report.
The bank said globalization and technological developments have led to rapid growth in Asian countries,... but many of them have failed to improve their income distribution systems.
