This is a Microsoft Excel tutorial covering, how to create a list and sort by it. The tutor starts off by creating a custom list, making sure the order is correct. The custom list option is found by clicking the File tab and then Options, select advanced options. In advanced option edit custom lists appears. Import or type the custom list. Once a custom list is added, the list is available in any Excel workbook new or old. The tutor now uses the custom list to sort data in Excel, maintaining the order of the custom list.
