That "banana" mode on the knife is for easier draw cuts like if you need more pressure and are dragging it across something such as carpet or cardboard.

the small ratchet is killer, picked one up new at a flea market for $20 and ive already used it dozens of times. a must have for the tool cart.

I really like that mini ratchet set. Problem is I don't use it much. It's a very nice cool set but I don't get much use out of it

I replaced my Chinese “Craftsman” 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drives with the Chinese Icons. Could not pass up the 40% off. 🤣 Their use (albeit minor) has been seamless thus far.

The ratchet is nice and sll, but gearwrench makes a better one. Eventually that passthrough fails and no longer locks on 1/4 bits. The warranty is accepted, but I don’t feel like going back to the store every 2 months.

Thanks for your excellent no BS reviews! I just got back from HF parking lot sale and picked up the pack of blue batteries, and the ICON locking mini-ratchet set for $25! Awesome little set (even though some of the comments suggest a newer version is coming out)!

The yellow batteries are pure junk. I've had really good luck with the blue ones. ESPECIALLY, for the price compared to the big name brands.

From what im hearing, they're offering 40% off because they're trying to clear them out to make way for updated models coming next year. Expect another 1 or 2 really good icon hand tools sales in the coming months, probably Black Friday and sometime in January.

They are introducing new icon ratchets soon so they are trying to get rid of their current ratchets, hence the huge sale. Once the sale is gone, tons of people will have those ratchets, increasing their market share. This will help them sell off the rest of the ratchets at regular price, probably.

The batteries depend on usage. I use the yellow alkaline ones in TV remotes and a couple analog atomic wall clocks. Works fine for those purposes. It's not what you want to reach for on high drain devices. I won't use the cheaper zinc batteries from any manufacturer.

Love the Gordon knife and mine opens fully right away. Went back and bought another one it works so well.
