2014 - 'A Very Special Team' with Coach Snyder

From the 2014 end-of-season banquet: The Frankenmuth Girls Track & Field Team of 2014 is indeed "A Very Special Team" even among other Frankenmuth Girls Track teams of recent years. The girls won every championship there was to win. But the story doesn't end there, hardly! The girls set meet records on the way to every championship including MITCA Team State and MHSAA State Finals. And there may be more. For the first time ever, MITCA will be awarding an Academic All-State Champion this season. But that won't be announced for a while. The Saginaw News says "Frankenmuth opened the season as the No. 1-ranked girls track team in the Saginaw area and finished as the No. 1 team in the state." Angie Ritter received the state's highest individual track & field honor being named "Ms. Track and Field". And two of the team's members, Angie Ritter and Carly Hammond (my daughter) are part of the "Best of the Best" team representing the State of Michigan on June 14, 2014 in the Midwest Meet of Champions in Granville, Ohio. No other team had more than one girl selected to go to that meet. This team is a Hall of Fame team for sure.
