This centralization of power risks stifling the sovereignty of individual nations and their ability to act in the best interests of their citizens. It creates a sense of alienation among Europeans, who feel that decisions are being made far from their own parliaments and priorities.

Perhaps it is time to reconsider the EU’s role and return to its core idea: a strong and flexible trade alliance where member states cooperate voluntarily on shared economic goals without unnecessary political centralization.

The huge difference between the EU and all its other competitors like Russia, China or the US is that all the rest are single or federal administrative units. They have a single stock exchange, a single economic legislation, the people are connected with each other, they speak the same language, they think as one. Whereas the EU is fragmented, people are very different, the languages are different, it seems that instead of going to a federation, the trend is shifting towards returning to independent countries. And this is what kept us undeveloped, in a state of war between us, and fragile in front of the competitors before the EU was born.
