DIY Chevron Friendship Bracelet

OPEN ME FOR MEASUREMENTS and more information...

MEASUREMENTS:
To create a bracelet that is 8 strands wide (like the blue one I demonstrated with in this video)...
+ Cut 4 strands, 60 inches long each for a BUTTON CLOSURE BRACELET
OR
+ Cut 8 strands, 30 inches each for a TRADITIONAL BRACELET (tie on, cut off)

+ 6 strand wide bracelet? Cut 3 strands - 50 inches each (or 6 strands, 25 inches each)
+ 10 strand bracelet? Cut 5 strands - 70 inches each (or 10 strands, 35 inches each)

LIKE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS?

MATERIALS: embroidery floss, scissors, tape/clipboard

For a BUTTON CLOSURE bracelet, fold the strands in half, form a knot about 1/2 inch from the top (creating a loop), & start your bracelet.
For a TRADITIONAL bracelet, just create a knot 2-3 inches from the top & start your bracelet.

Awesome tutorial! I made these many, many years ago, and now my daughter wants one. I remembered making a 4 with the thread, but I didn’t want to mess up the order, etc. This was the perfect refresher for me and I’m sure it also helps anyone new to thread bracelet making. Thank you!
