What is Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP)?

In 2001, the Government of India launched the country’s first Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) with support from CDC. Over the last two decades, FETPs have grown and trained 700+ epidemiologists, or ‘disease detectives,’ to track and contain outbreaks. When health threats strike, these experts investigate and apply their knowledge to keep people from getting sick.
