I just finished the book. Extraordinary read. Extraordinary talent. Very much a novel written by a poet. The best kind of book because the language and the images challenge me. I was weeping at the end. Yes, as a gay male, and a first generation Canadian (Polish-Irish partents), I did see myself in the novel. Other books will be a wash in my memory. This one will not.
