I had multiple animations linked to one blender object, and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to export them all into Unity. Thank you for showing every little detail of your setup! Many other tutorials gloss over them as 'trivial', when they are not!

If this didn't help, make sure that the paths to your bones in the action bone hirarchy are all correct, the wrong paths are marked with the red underline and the name of the bone is not highlighet in hiarchy, .

EVEN A SINGLE BONE WITH THE WRONG PATH WILL PREVENT THE ANIMATION FROM BEING EXPORTED.

(It happend to me when I accidentally changed a single bone's name)

thank you soooo much. i was making fps animations and when i exported it to unity, yhe animations were not in the fbx file and i thought i had to make the animations again, then i found this tutorial and it saved me from almost deleting my animations thanks.

Thank you so much for this. Nothing else I've watched has explained the NLA editor being tied to what is exported to unity. It's mostly parenting/weights issues being explained, or how you cannot use most modifiers.

Extra question... why there are duplicated animation? Like an animation "idle" after exported there are two animations called "idle" and "armature | idle".

Hi, I am having an issue while exporting my animations with FBX in Blender, when i import the FBX i get the actions duplicated and it is a lot of mess, for example i have 18 animations actions for a model of 37 separate objects (9 of them animated, some with multiple animation actions), and i get a 162 duplicate actions so it would export every action 9 time, i do not know what is causing this issue, i tried everything, i tried exporting with NLA Strips or just with all actions and it does not fix the issue, please help me if you can.

great video, would you know why some animations will put the model resting on the floor in frame 0 and then return it to its orginal rotation on frame 1 as soon as you push them down on NLA list? Thanks in advance

why i m getting som extra animation in unity..I have created only 4 actions and pushed down to NLA, checked in filter option there are 4 actions only.. but after exporting to blender it generates around 12 animation clips. but Total animation clips is 4 for 4 Models..
No one explained this so far?

All my actions are in their own separate nlas and have been pushed down but for some reason unity doesn't import my animations

It doesn't work for me. I had to delete the object and reimport as new to fix the problem. Yes, I know the reimport option, but it is not doing anything.
