How To See Edit History Of Excel (How To Check Edit History Of Excel). In this video tutorial I will show you how to see edit history of Excel.
Note that currently, you can only see the edit history of Excel using Excel online. It has a show changes feature that enables you to see the edit history for all your worksheets or a specific cell of your dataset. To view your edit history, do the following.
1. Save your Excel Workbook in Onedrive
Turn on the Autosave option in your workbook to keep saving your file in Onedrive automatically.
2. Copy your Excel Workbook Link.
Start by clicking the Share option at the top right-hand corner of your workbook. Then, click the “Microsoft account ID” button. Select the “Copy Link” section on the window that will appear.
3. Open your workbook Link in Excel Online.
Open your browser and paste the workbook link on the search bar. Search the link to see the Excel Online platform.
4. Check the Edit History of your workbook on Excel.
To do this, tap on the Review tab at the upper top of the screen. It will display a list of options for you to choose what you want to do. Go to the Changes section and select the “Show Changes” option. It will display a Changes panel on the right side of your workbook. The panel contains all your edit history with the name of the person who edited the work, the time it was edited, and the description of the changes that were made.
5. Apply the Filter option to Verify Edit History.
If you are working on a large dataset, it is easier to use the Filter option to see your edit History for each dataset cell. To do this, start by clicking on the Filter tab on the Change Panel. It will display a drop-down list for all the cells of your dataset. From the list, select the Range option, and then select the dataset cell you want to see its edit history. Then, click the arrow button next to the cell and check the edit history for that specific cell.
