It was in 1985 when I first meet Bob Andy and his Manager Janice to see Mad Professor in Ariwa Studio in Peckham while I was practicing on the Bass Guitar in Ariwa Studio. All of a sudden I played one of his bass-lines and he looked at me with a big smile and I played another of his bass-lines called LIFE. He said to me! You are so gifted with talents Black Steel! And I said thank you Bob. I toured with Bob Andy in Poland and Finland and that was a good experience for me to perform with the Legend. I got a call from Mad Professor saying Steel you have a recording session with Bob Andy in the studio. I was on my way there and I saw Victor Cross in the studio too! And I was very happy too! Bob wrote a new song and played the chords and I was playing the Bass. When Me and Victor Sussed out the chords! I programmed the Drum pattern and Bob said I'll like an Intro? And I said No Problem. And The Song Was Called CHERRY. And Bob said to me and Victor, do you know I'm gonna tell you goodbye babe? And I said Oh Yes! I know it from the bottom of my heart. So we Recorded it. Knowing Bob Andy For 35 Years! Rest In Peace Bob Andy!!!
Big Up Claude.. Jah Bless!!

The Classic "Feeling Soul" is constantly on my playlist for years and as a Christian: Rightfully so and as a Jamaican living in America from childhood: "I've got to go back home" helped me to stay focused and helped me to withstood the Racism and discrimination that Jamaicans that migrate to America in later years never knew existed; Rest in Peace Bob Andy, I truly appreciate your music👑💝🌺🌷

I had the great pleasure of seeing him live at Rebel Salute in the 2003. He sang the old favourites, danced and was in fine voice that night. R.I.P. my brother,

Apprecialove, he will be missed. My deepest condolences to the family circle, Brother King Claude Sinclair. Marcia Griffiths introduced me to him in 2011 when I returned for a tribute to Joe Higgs Inna de Yard. He was recovering bravely from some major surgery. Such a humble genius. Take care 💖💛🖤💚
