The holes should be a good thing since they aerate compacted soil, especially clay. I pop weeds as soon as I spot them before they spread out too much and kill the surrounding grass. I used to hand pull weeds and it got tiring. The weasel makes it fun!

The Weasel works great. Get the blades dead-center on the weed and turn clockwise slowly so it gets a good grip and the weed starts spinning. Spin it a few times and slowly pull up so you get a good bite. Sometimes it won't catch the root so you can pull it up with your hands carefully twisting and pulling up at the same time. A word of caution for the Weasel is to be sure to wear gloves because you *will* pinch the web of your hand if you slowly depress the plunger. If you don't want to use gloves then just give the plunger a hard smack with the bottom of your palm keeping your fingers out of the way.

Has anyone considered putting the pulled weed back into the hole. You think the weed would dry out too much to regrow after separating from the soil and this would help prevent any possible root pieces left underneath from regrowing. Also you wouldn't have a hole there and it would eventually add the nutrients back into the soil.

The holea are fine. It's like an aerator! You could seed around each hole afterword, then use the garden weasel cultivator to rough up the dirt around the hole and let grass seed fall in.

Remove the dirt from the roots and throw the weed in a bag or mulch it as long as it isn't seeded. Also, try tenacity. It's worth it with pervasive pests like this.

Is this sturdy enough for gravel yards. Have some weeds in my yard with a gravel front and back yard.

If you don't get that tap Root from that dandelions they will grow back

Good video and thanks for sharing. But, what happened to your lawn? It’s literally pure weeds. If I were you, i would nuke that hole yard and start from scratch.

ok, but you gotta get the main tap root (which is always more than a few inches long and can grow up to a foot long) or it grows back. Scotts Weed & Feed works if you have too many to do by hand.

If you have that many dandelions, herbicide is much more efficient
