Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. I was one of those who fell for these fake videos. I tried it twice, lol before I caught on and I have been gardening for many many years. I think the biggest problem is, that those of us who fall for these things truly believe there are good honest people and trust that no one would take the time to fake these kinds of videos. I am not a gullible person and know how rotten things have gotten in this world we live but this is a new level of deceit. No doubt they do it to make money from the views they get. What a shame things get to this point. I'll laugh this one off and be thankful there are good people like you.

Thank you. I was trying to find information or video to debunk those videos. It seemed odd, more like impossible to grow a plant from a banana. If that was the case, how come it isn't common knowledge? Cause it's not true!

If you've ever sliced open a banana from a grocery store, you may see little black dots that appear to be seeds. These "banana seeds" are immature, infertile, and can't be planted and grown. Most bananas sold in stores are of the Cavendish variety, which are commercial bananas that typically produce no seeds.

Thanks for posting this. I've been growing plants for nearly 40 years now, and thought this sounded like bs. The only way I've ever grown a banana was by scarifying the seed from species bananas ( you can order seeds) with a file, and planting it. You can 't grow a banana from fruit, guys!

I tried to plant bananas, pure, with garlic, with aloe vera, with garlic and aloe vera, preparing the cut with onion and whatever I tried, I got rotting bananas.

from my research, it works sometimes and sometimes not. It depends on the banana source. Store bought bananas unfortunately dont have good seeds so wont work. People who are lucky to live in areas where fruit is available outside of stores have better luck 😕

Did you try planting the banana the opposite way around? I'd seen others try this without cutting
