This movie was created with all the videos i took at Nkondwe Island over last 3 trips to the Lake Tanganyika (year 2017, 18 and 19). Nkondwe Island is special place due to diversity of cichlids that can be found here. We spotted huge schools of B. microlepis and Petrochromis fasciolatus every time we dived here. The place is also home for one of the most beautiful Ophthalmotilapia boops variant better known as Ophthalmotilapia “neon streak”. Their natural habit is so small and the population is so fragile that the species is consi as critically endangered.
