I find it insane that Hannah and her friends think it is reasonable to expect that Nick takes care of HER dog, given that he worked all day and she was unemployed?! I wish he spoke up more about this. Why is this his responsibility?

I really need everyone to remember that Hannah quit her job to be on the show, and this whole time, she is unemployed. Nick has a full time job. She is asking him to take care of her dog, do house chores, etc, while she's just chilling.

I feel so validated seeing Dr Kirk reacting the way I did. It was difficult to watch this season because it felt like we were watching someone's self confidence being eroded gradually by the torrent of negativity. Kinda reminds me of Freddie in the UK season where he just looked defeated by the end

I’m really glad Dr Honda has introduced calling this dynamic abuse. He’s given Hannah a of slack, as he probably should as a professional, but it’s been tough to watch.

I agree with other commenters in hoping Nick watches this so he can appreciate that he’s not a terrible person and he didn’t deserve to be treated this way.

What gets me so worked up is the scene when she tells Nick he’s immature because his dad feeds the cat for him - but then she’s mad he’s not walking her dog 🤯🤯🤯

Could we all just take a second to recognise that A- it’s her dog
B-she does not have a job and is currently not working
C- Nick goes to work everyday!
so why should he be responsible for walking her dog in the last two weeks that they’ve been living together? Sure if they get married then they’re gonna work as a team and do all the things equally together but that takes time to figure out between the two people and he seems very willing and prepared to work that out. Equality also means different things in different situations when one person is taking less responsibility in one area they’ll make up for it in another area. You don’t have a job!! Walk your goddamn dog yourself!!

These videos on Hannah and Nick have truly been so validating 🫶🏻 I've been told my dislike for Hannah's actions was "internalized misogyny" but truly, it's simply empathizing with Nick. If my husband was on national TV criticizing my looks, my performance when it comes to "intimacy", complaining about not wanting to participate in certain intimate "acts", and berating me and embarrassing me every chance he gets.. I would have been SO SO humiliated and hurt, and I would have left as soon as possible.
Nick has the patience of a saint and it was heartbreaking watching him try so hard to make this relationship work and to make Hannah happy, when probably nothing he could have done would have satisfied her.
Knowing this was also his first serious relationship makes this even sadder, what a horrible introduction to what relationships are supposed to be like.

These mean girls act like Nick needs to walk the dog like it's his dog and that he doesn't work a full-time job...meanwhile Hannah was sitting at the apartment, unemployed, and wasting 10 rolls of paper towels per day.

Thank you for explaining so clearly the emotional abuse tactics at play. These are so, so familiar to me from my childhood. My father was extremely abusive of me emotionally and sometimes physically. To this day he refuses to admit it or come to terms with his faults or his own trauma. He started sending ME to therapists as early as third grade, in the hopes of fixing whatever he thought was wrong with ME, but he has never once sought therapy for himself. Sometimes I speak out on social media about this (such as now), and sometimes he has caught wind of it. When that happens, he comes down on me like a box of rocks. The last time he spoke to me, he denied that he was ever abusive, and he threatened to sue me for defamation. It had me doubting my own experience. But now I'm not in doubt anymore.

It always makes me laugh too that when she asks him to take out the trash in the show, it’s the moment he gets home from work and is like a 1/8th full bag 😂 almost empty. Just goes to show how skewed her standards are. No one but Hannah would have thought to take the bag out for that little trash

The last time I remember feeling the ick from the show was Zenab and Cole. Very similar dynamic and even the recounting a situation inaccurately, then we see the cuties scene and it nothing like what she made it out to be. She talked down to him in the same way, although maybe not as harsh as Hannah.
