These are some of my favorite videos. I am the same with Viticulture. Absolutely love it when I play it but wonder if I should keep it between plays. Surprised that you feel the way you do about Ark Nova. It's one of my favorites but I have also only played it solo so I crank through each game pretty quickly and usually get at least two games in every time I set it up. Valor & Villainy is definitely one that I love a lot but agree on the long time play being a detriment to getting it to the table. I am curious about solo play with the new Antagonist's Arsenal expansion. Want to definitely give that a go. I so seldomly get to play games multiplayer anymore that it just doesn't get picked. Looking forward to the May video!

For my game group, the Tzolkin expansion freed up the experience from the tightness of how can I feed my workers into how can I use my powers to race for objectives and optimize my scoring. I don't think we'll ever play it again without the expansion.

Roll Player is a game I love on paper; I love the meta concept, I love the puzzle it presents you, and I love the idea that you can take that character into RPA or 5e... but it keeps falling flat when I play it, and I haven't been able to pinpoint why.

This is not the greatest game in the world, this is just a Tribune

Archer Loveletter, because it has the hidden card in the middle, is the best version of loveletter!

Alex great to check in, it's been a while. I'm glad to see your channel thriving. I actually ordered Golem after watching your review and I'm having some confusion artifact benefits side and what the red or blue marble activation side means. One other question did you ever get Petrichor to the table and what did you think of it? Thanks

Archer changes the Love Letter formula just enough to make it interesting (having abilities that let you interact with the removed card), whereas both Jabba's Palace and especially Infinity Gauntlet feel like they change too much - the latter which turns Love Letter into a Marvel-themed one versus many game, and the former with its alternate win conditions.

I just received a new Big Box box from Quined. Do you have a favorite add-on module?

Last Light just didn't work for my game group. Looking to trade my KS all-in away. :)

You mentioned Viticulture, but not Tuscany. If you haven't done so, I would really recommend trying Viticulture with Tuscany. It is generally regarded by (seemingly) most players as one of the truly required expansions that actually makes a base game much better.

Would ever do a playthrough of Expeditions? I got it and it fell so flat for me. And I’m a Stonemaier fanboy! Curious to see why it works for you.

Have to agree V&V MoM is too long. We still have it, but doesn't get tabled as much. We also have V&V LL and its scenarios and up grade paths get it to the table frequently

Dead Reckoning was my first taste of "hype does not make a game perfect"

The majority of board game cynicism has come from DR. The rest from CMON 😂
