Hands on with LG Signature OLED T, that's available in the US for $60,000 as of December 18. The LG Signature OLED T, aka LG's transparent OLED TV, made its surprise debut at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. The see-through screen is a total show-stopper, switching between a normal-looking OLED TV and a transparent display with a separated contrast layer that rolls away with the press of a button.
Was this the best TV at CES 2024? It certainly made a strong first impression at our hands-on demonstration at the show and now it's available to buy!

i don’t see the practical use of this for homes… maybe in commercial spaces.

Truly amazing. As someone who was swapping out valves in black & white TVs over 50 years ago, I really want one next Christmas 🤞😆

question, what exactly is the transparent tv? is it that glassbox kinda like of a fishtank we see there in the video? and what about the box at the bottom?

Btw, you could always do this with any standard LCD tv. They just do not have a traditional lightbox behind it.

I do think something like this does have some applications at home, depending on setup desire and personal taste, of course. For example, picture a living room with high ceilings and no walls usable for placing a TV...and by that, I mean a more-so open floor concept combined with floor to ceiling windows. If the preference is to have the back of the TV on the window-wall, I see this as the best option. I just don't want to imagine the price tag.

I do wonder of refresh rate and things of that nature...in short, how it would perform with gaming.
