Boudreaux provided his insight on potential issues linked to the Trump rally shooting and the security perimeter at the event in Butler, PA.

Butler PD notified the USSS two days prior to the rally that they did not have the manpower to provide sufficient security coverage and the USSS never replied back. The Secret Service director and Alejandro Mayorkas need to be held accountable for this.

When I worked for the USMC at Camp Lejeune Officer transient housing which included Chesty Puller’s house where dignitaries stay and the commandant of the Marine Corps was going to be there security was very high. Starting 2 days before besides housekeeping completing a spit shine when they were finished MPs & K9 came in and did a detailed search. Guards were posted at all access points . Day of arrival housekeeping with a guard did any final touch up, stocked the fridge. Then the sniffers came in one more time, cleared the building and guards remain outside at all access points.
And that was on a Marine base with controlled access to the base at a whole.
What is wrong with the secret service??!!

Butler PD was not trained to deal with an event this size. Butler PD is only a 12-officer team that in no way could cover a crowd numbering over 14, 000 people. How many other agencies were called upon to give support? Seems that there was not enough time allocated to coordinate all the support officers in the days before the Trump rally took place. But how could a twenty-year-old kid, with no military training, two years removed from high school graduation and a recent community college graduate, assess these security gaps and exploit them in real-time? Shocking is not a word that adequately captures what happened.
