Fantastic win for the Mets in 1986. The whole city was “We will, we will rock you!” Little did we know we’d never win another one.

As a lifelong nationals fan this 1 year drought has been incredibly tough. They’re really testing my patience, man.

Man this is why I love baseball! There’s always a different winner almost every year. There’s always gonna be that one dominant team in a decade. But there’s also always a magical moment that will captivate a teams season. There’s always heartbreak in it. You always gotta expect the unexpected in baseball.

It’s honestly sad how the Indians will never win a World Series ever again, now that they’re gonna be the Guardians.

Dc had a 95 year drought. Cleveland will get theirs when it’s time and it will be the sweetest ride you’ll ever feel. It’s been almost two years and it’s still giving me chills like it happened yesterday

The Seattle Mariners can't even win an American League pennant let alone a World Series.

I really hope the Mariners make it to the playoffs again after this 20-year+ drought. Would be awesome to see as a lifelong fan!

To point out the obvious, this should be labeled Longest Championship Droughts. As far as W.S. appearances, there's been an incredible amount of parity in baseball over the last 40 years. If you've been a baseball fan since the Pirates won in '79, and you're not from Seattle, you've seen your team play in the World Series at least once.

I don’t remember a team winning 2017 World Series thanks for telling me

As a kid I clearly remember my Orioles in 1983 vs Phillies, my father had season tickets and we went to game 1 of the '83 WS which the O's lost. In the end we took it in 5, that was 38 yrs ago and as things stand it'll be another 38 plus years before they sniff a world series.

I think championship wins drought would be a more appropriate title. As a life long Dallas resident I distinctly remember watching and going to see the Rangers in the World Series in 2011 when I was 12.
