Boxer however, though seriously injured, tries his absolute hardest to make sure that all of the stone will be quarried by the time he should take his retirement. Thus far, no animal had taken their retirement, but as it had not been discussed since, the animals assumed that they would all be able to retire when they reached the appropriate age.
Food becomes scarcer and scarcer, and all of the Animals, besides the pigs, have their rations reduced. Squealer, however, continues to convince the other animals that life on the farm is far better than it was before the revolution. Napoleon father’s thirty-one piglets, and demands that a school be build alongside the windmill; requiring that more than double the amount of stone required for the Windmill be quarried for his education centre.
