I work for an ophthalmologist and a couple years ago we had a patient call in for an emergency appointment to dee the doctor because she was separating her lashes with a needle and poked her eyeball with it. Lash brushes are good enough! Lol. Love your videos.

I’ve said it before and I’mma say it again. She is giving us what we need in the beauty community. What we’ve been looking for. We wanna LEARN. We don’t wanna be SOLD shit every five seconds. Thank you so much babe for your work. This is your online gay bestie/fan! Lol

I love that vintage tips are actual tips, not only pushing products.

We needed her! I was so tired of influencers who have no knowledge of the beauty industry and just want to sell you crap!

The history 'lessons' on this channel are phenomenally done, I am not really into makeup for myself, but I find this content so fascinating!

I had no idea Marilyn did the “take the makeup off” trick but I do that to myself everyday.
I apply my base makeup, then take water on a paper towel and gently just dab. It takes some of the base off but for whatever reason, just makes my face look flawless. Soft. Even toned and poreless. I don’t understand how or why it works in me, but it does. ❤

What I love about Erin’s videos is that they are straight to the point and FUN!!! She’s the only makeup influencer that I genuinely like ❤️

I'm just going to start referring to you as a makeup historian. It pleases me to the depths of my soul that you included Josephine Baker and Dorothy Dandridge in your video. I always thought of them as beautiful. I also thought that Grace Kelly had great fashion sense and might have been photogenic. I've just never seen a bad picture of her. I think of Jennifer Lopez in the same way. And Mae West....I wish she had movies done about her. I didn't know until Dita Von Teese mentioned that she didn't move to Hollywood and sign a movie contract until she was 40. Mae West acted in, wrote, directed and produced so many things. It just seems like she doesn't get the credit that she could have gotten. Please continue to share what you've learned about these iconic women.

She’s giving us original, creative content, glamour, history, art and makeup tutorials. All conveyed with a sweet, quirky charm. I hope her channel explodes!❤

Given Lisa Eldridge’s love for makeup history and historical technique, I would LOVE to see a collaboration between you two, Erin 🥰

"I dont need false lashes, just 45 coats of mascara" 😂that had me cracking up ! Its so awesome to be seeing you do long form videos I've always loved when you did the shorter videos but lowkey always wanted more so its great to see you posting on youtube. Makeup history, I feel like, doesn't get as much love as it should... the looks and styles done so many years ago always come back in some way or another and its cool to have some one as dedicated as you to be bringing the history to life !

Wow, just WOW. Erin popped up on my feed and I'm obsessed now. I'm 42 and my mom raised me on the Hollywood starlets. "Black and white" movies. The acting was so incredible back in those days. I still cry every dang time I watch Wuthering Heights. You really FEEL those old movies. Def different from present lol

I’ve been doing a variation on that Marilyn tip on my own — I spritz my finished look (before or instead of setting spray) with witch hazel based toner in a spray bottle, wait for it to set down into a “mask” and then firmly press, not wipe, a tissue over the face to pick up as much I can before finishing with a spray if I want to lock that in. It’s great for a natural look.

I’m impressed that these beauty icons from different times and professions did have applications that created this unique look together. Especially since each actress, dancer looks so different from each other and you! It’s such a cool experiment and delightful to see!
