Really Feastables should be compared strictly against Hershey and Nestle. MrBeast pays his employees well and isn’t attempting world water domination

As a European, who has relatvely easy access to some of the best chocolate there is, I wouldn't say Feastables is among the top tier of chocolates. The taste is decent, but it's 5.5 euro per 100g over here (in the US it's ~4 euro per 100g). That's roughly 2x the price of Lindt chocolate, which is significantly better, and almost as expesive as Läderach. In fact, I've spent less per gram at a proper artisanal chocolatier in Liège. Needless to say, I'm probably not going to buy Feastables again, but for a "merch" / "branded" product, it is very good. A lot of celebrities/influencers in my country have their own Pizzas or other products, and most of them are genuinely bad products, whereas feastables only lacks value for money.

Most companies are blatantly or openly even / malicious.

At the very least he's not (so far) that's worth something. We can't keep feeding the monsters and bitching that they prosper

a totally curious question...what type of product would Future Proof like to have their brand on, should they become famous enough to do so?

Mr. Beast is probably the best case scenario for the face of Youtube. Imagine if that was instead a Jake or Logan Paul. You can call it charity p**n or whatever you want, but the reality is, this inspires more people to be more charitable in their own lives rather than be a complete and utter douchebag. Skepticism shouldn't detract from the fact that this isn't a one off thing and the money he uses from these videos is used for even more charity.

I think Jimmy has good intentions and genuinely believes in the charitable work he's doing. I used to watch him before he got super big, and when he got his first sponsorship with Quidd he gave the money to his mother and sincerely thanked Quidd for giving him that opportunity. While you could argue that he has a selfish goal of trying to be #1, I think he's trying to do it in a way that creates a feadback loop between helping the world and making good content, whereas the Bill Gates of the world does it primarily for optics to hide their evildoings.

I've had a Feastables bar before. I'd say the best word to describe it would be "Simple". It's chocolate. No particular richness, flair, crazy flavor, etc. It tastes like how I'd expect generic chocolate to taste. (Albeit, without that signature Hershey's acid-y flavor)

Definitely not worth the price compared to some other options, especially when you compare price per ounce, but it's definitely much more ethical than the child labor using corporate overlords over at companies like Hershey's.

8:50 This aged like fine wine. Feastable might be slave free, but MrBeast production tortured people on sets. lol

It’s a weird world we live in but $1 donated to the poor and put on YouTube still means $1 was donated to the poor. Mr Beast seems really genuine about his philanthropy as well

I tried feastibles once just to see what they were like and I thought they were pretty good. I'm not sure I could even pick out different brands of chocolate in a blind taste test, so all I can say is they tasted like chocolate. I would always pick featibles over hersheys just because I'm lactose intolerant and feastibles has flavors without dairy.

Only issue I possibly have is that with content creators selling these consumable products is it increases consumer spending on stuff they wouldn't have bought before, and it's kind of a waste like there's no way that there were that many people going out and buying chocolate and just switched to feastables, I'm sure a good majority of feastables sales were driven by people who bought it just because of the Mr Beast brand, not because they actually wanted chocolate---and unnecessary spending like that is what I have a problem with

I'm in the camp of a person who doesn't care for content creator backed products.

Coz we've already seen it with celebs, it's usually just an existing product that gets modified to whatever gimmick the influencer/celeb has which drives the products popularity that it wouldn't otherwise have without that influencer/celeb backing it, whether it's drinks, alcohol, food, beauty products etc

And this isn't coming from a position of hate that is by the way, just a general comment, coz I have the same stance with regards to like designer brands where I've laughed that someone will pay like 10x more for a famous brand when that product is probably made in the exact same factory as the product that costs 10x less.

I'm glad to hear your perspective of Mrbeast's financial and or ethical motives. It's good to consider other perspectives.

I was a little disappointed the video didn't go into the Feastables supply chain and compare it with other chocolate companies. Where is the chocolate sourced from? What are the working conditions of the people there? Reed (Mrbeast's manager) made a vlog where he went to the source. It would have been nice if you could offer an unbiased overview. For a video titled "The TRUTH about Feastables" it was lacking an answer to the elephant in Feastables' room: are these chocolate bars actually as ethically made as the brand portrays it?

So I must be a rock dweller...I have heard of Mr. Beast and his ghost kitchens, but never a candy bar...

It’s actually insane how many people think Mr Beast is the second coming of Jesus. I suppose I’m just skeptical.

There are companies out there doing ethically-sourced chocolate (at least more ethical the Nestle etc) and taste good.
Tony’s Chocolonely being one of them. They’re great!

The dark chocolate bar is really good in my opinion. I have started to move away from milk chocolate of any quality and prefer dark. Feastablies is the most accessable.

I've tried a couple Feastable bars and they're ok. A little bland, but not bad. And Jimmy's probably a good guy. I get the criticism of poverty porn, but he's still doing some good. And if it motivates others to be good or better, it can't be all bad.

I'm a Belgian who lives in Switzerland, so chocolate is an extremely culturally important topic for me. I must say that I've never heard of, or seen, mr beast before, so definitely didn't know about the chocolate thing. But based on your video, this explains to me the path Henri Nestlé started upon, into having his family name being one of the most despised in the world.

Good intentions always turn into capitalism sadly...

There is a good book by Anand Giridharadas
about performative philantrophy called "Winners take all", it does not talk directly about mr beast but the concept translate flawlessly.
