It's a watch we frequently receive offers for and one that can often be found slightly below the retail price of £8,500. Buyers consistently show a preference for the white dial, which is reflected in its higher price compared to the black dial.

The black makes it stand out less, which is something I like in a tool watch. This is one I’d buy if I didn’t want people noticing I wear a Rolex, but I still want something super accurate and rugged with a GMT hand.

ROLEX's most serious tool watch is the 5513 submariner. The last one of an era, before ROLEX moved into more jewelry-style submariners, less attached to its history and purpose.

Unpopular opinion, the black dial looks better and it’s much more of a tool watch than the white one.

i’ve just bought the white dial, looking on youtube about it and honestly so happy i did, i never saw the black in person but was going to order it online. thank god i never.

Have it in Black and it’s my daily wear. Great for travel and takes abuse

Yes but the only reason you buy this in the first place is to get purchase history at the AD. You’d be out of your mind to buy this over a sub or GMT at a very similar price
