What I like about this guy the most is that when he tackles misinformation/disinformation, he sticks to the science and remains respectful. Many people have the science on their side, but resort to scathing remarks against people and lower themselves that way. This guy is a real professional. Big props.

Hi Dr. Carvalho, Dr. Neal Barnard put an interesting piece in JAMA a few years back about the danger of blindly trusting meta-analyses. Could you take a look and make a video on the topic? Thank you!

I’m catching up on all your videos and interviews. You have changed how I perceive a lot of the info that is out there (a lot of stuff that I personally bought into, such as “seed oils” being bad and the supposed superiority of low carb diets). And you convey a point of view with humility and without disparaging others. Thank you for doing this and please keep it up.

I'm so glad the algorithm recommended one of your video awhile back, unlike other video that seem to recommend one diet of the other you tend to give us the data and make the decision for ourselves. I love videos like this, which teach people about different studies. Have you ever done a video on how to read an actual study? So many people don't even know studies disclose limitations, and possible conflicts of interest

Thank you for all your fantastic content! Love how reasoned, scientific, and non-sensationalised you make things - this makes the claims so much stronger imo. Keep up the great work!

I’m also new to this channel after watching your segment with Simon Hill. Not sure why I hadn’t come across your channel before. Excellent concise information. Look forward to more.

Love what you’re doing. Found your channel a couple weeks ago and really appreciate your educational approach. As an engineer, can’t get enough of the fact-based, data driven process endorsed. Keep it up as you’re making a difference.

Dr. Berg seems very genuine, simple and honest. So, I believe whatever he says simply because that is what I want to hear and it makes me happy compared to the guy who relies on science and best advice. And I ignore scientists and anyone who disagrees with him. I am happy in my Berg world.

My takeaways from the video...

1. Anecdotes are garbage evidence but meta-anecdotes are fine.

2. Smoking is good for you but turns 1/3rd of the population French.

3. I really need more indoor plants.

😁 joking of course, great vid love the channel!
