JP Australia Surf Air review / Surf iSUP

SUPboarder has a look at the JP Australia Surf Air 9'7''. Much longer and wider than many of the stubby nosed iSUP's on the market at the moment. With its outline shape the JP Australia Surf Air offers the first time SUP surfer a very user friendly iSUP to get into the waves. Nice and stable, with a good amount of glide and a rocker line shape (bottom shape) that doesn't catch you out on a wave, like many other shorter iSUPs can do.

Hi,
Thanks for all the reviews. This looks like a nice board with the nose rocker, tail rocker and big fin.
I am new to SUPing but can canoe well and surf a mini mal poorly. I weigh 74kg.
I tried a Red Paddle 9'8 because I wanted something I could use on flat water ( I live in Norfolk near lots of rivers), maybe some sea fishing but primarily for surfing.
I only tried the board on a river and found it fairly stable, paddling about 5 km. However, the tracking and glide seemed poor, the wide, round nose felt like it was pushing the water rather than cutting through it and it felt like stroke power was lost though veering off to the side.
So the question is, would the JP Surfair track and glide better on flat water because of the pointy nose and big center fin or is this board really only suitable for surf? It looks like it is almost an 'allround board' but at the end of the review and on the JP website it says it is for 100% surf.
I am probably asking too much of one board but essentially something that can surf reasonably well, feel stable enough to fish from and track on flat water is what I am after, any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
