In July 2024 we visited A & E Leisure again in Northwich, Cheshire to see the installation of a FULL VB Air Suspension system to 'Betty' the Carthago, a beautiful coach built motorhome.

We first used A & E Leisure in Northwich, Cheshire, to fit VB Semi-Air Comfort suspension on the rear of our 2021 A Class Mobilvetta. A link to that installation is below :)

The products are from the range of motorhome suspension solutions manufactured by VB Air Suspension and there are some links below to the VB website which has some excellent resources to explore this subject in more detail and help vehicle owners to make decisions about what suspension solution might suit their vehicle and their budget :)

Our thanks once again to A & E Leisure for allowing us to film the work, and to the owners of 'Betty' who kindly agreed to us filming the installation of her new additions :))

We’ve just had our second trip back to A& E (5 hour trip one way) to have an extra solar panel and re active shock absorbers fitted to match the front . Excellent service I think the up graded rear shocks do make a difference when driving .

When a torsion bar is removed, this “softens the suspension” and the van “bottoms out easier” of course when the air suspension is added, it takes up the strain of the removed torsion bar and allows greater movement between minimum and maximum height without working against the third torsion bar.

If the 3rd torsion bar was left in place, you would have no ability to soften the ride. You would just stiffen it further.

Very Informative video just a pity it wasn’t a Fiat based vehicle. I would love to hear some feedback from the owners to what difference it’s made. Two main reasons why I would consider is the ability to raise the ground clearance and the comfort along with how it makes a difference on the road.
I’ve been quoted £9000 for my Fiat based Swift Escape 674 it is a lot of money but when you consider the amount of parts and labour to install you can see why it’s such a lot of money but probably a good investment.
Great video looking into the details. Thanks for sharing.
