Oh I miss the crispy flakey goodness of the fried pie.
Rally’s / checkers taste ALMOST like old school McDonald’s apple pie. You should do a side by side.

I like peach then blueberry then apple pie. I remember there was a time that you could get 2 apple pies from McDonald's for a buck. The good old days..

Wow, I tried sometimes many years ago. Bringing back nie memories. I remember it used to be so hot as hell, anyway. ;) But it was nice and apple pies are always great. :)

My first job was at McDonald's. I started there in 1991 so they still had the fried pies. It was a pain to clean the rack you cooked the pies in. The cherry ones were also really good.

I just got one and being that I grew up having the fried, and as I am a fan of apple pie, I've gotta hand it to mickyDs because it truly hit the spot! I liked the fried but prefer the baked! The fried had a crust that didn't resemble any kind of a traditional piecrust I've seen before, where as the baked was like the real deal and it was hot, cinnamony and yummy!!!! 2 thumbs up from

Never had the apple pie, fried or otherwise. What I really miss is the fried cherry pie at McDonald's. I guess all the complaints and lawsuits about finding pits inside them, shut that idea down. On a tangent, fried apples in the McDonald's baked apple pie. Haha. I used to work for the company that canned the "fried" apples that Cracker Barrel wants you to believe is fried up homemade in their kitchen, when in actuality, they open the can, heat and serve.

The OG was definitely better. I did a review on this one and the Taco Bell caramel apple empanada.The empanada was delicious.

I remember when McDonald’s had their chocolate chip cookies in a little box. They were the best!

You can find the fried ones in Japan. We don’t have any baked apple pies in our McDonalds

WOW!!! What timing...I just got back from back from getting pies, one apple and one strawberry cream. With a larger Dr. Pepper and 2 pies only $3.01 with tax (2 pies for $1.29) I always have a pie after tacos, taco happy hour tonight, Glad you endorse the pies...I would too. Mr. Cardinal was very vocal tonight there...LOL

Lees recipe chicken still has the old fried pies. They are bomb.

I have not tried that one. But I think I would like it better. Was not a fan of their old one.
