Thank you so much, this a great video. I would also like to add that there are 3 covalent compounds that have distinct names that don’t follow these rules. NH3 = ammonia; CH4 = methane; and H2O = water.

is dinitrogen pentoxide can also be pentoxygen dinitride?
and also for others like tetraphosphorus decoxide to decoxygen tetraphospide?
is there a rule which element should go first in the formula?
